François Du Mortier


Originally educated as an electronics engineer François Du Mortier spent 7 years working at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre in Mol in various domains : data acquisition, image recognition, robotics, sensors irradiation. He moved to Brussels and worked 7 years in the development of shop management software with a specialisation in payment cards. He finally joined the Brussels Regional Informatics Center (BRIC) in 1998 and was involved in the realisation of back office systems for public administration. In 2001 he became advisor to the Minister in charge of regional informatics. In 2004 he took the direction of the Geomatics Department of the BRIC. Since 2007 he coordinates the e-Government policy in the Brussels Region and the implementation of the regional services integration platform.
